Do I need to be a member of 98 Gym?

No. Physiotherapy appointments are available whether or not you are a member of 98 Gym.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring comfortable clothing and, where relevant, the shoes or equipment you use for training. Any useful scans, reports or post-operative instructions can also be brought to the appointment.

Will I have to stop training?

Not necessarily. Where safe and appropriate, the aim is to modify training and keep useful activity in place while symptoms and capacity improve.

What happens during an initial assessment?

The 45-minute assessment covers your history, relevant movement and strength testing, an explanation of the findings, treatment where appropriate and a clear plan for the next steps.

How much is the initial assessment?

The initial 45-minute physiotherapy assessment is $170 AUD.

Do you treat people who are not athletes?

Yes. The service is designed for active people of different levels, including recreational gym users, runners and people who simply want to move and train with more confidence.

Do you offer exercise programmes?

When appropriate, rehabilitation exercises are delivered through TrueCoach with video guidance, training modifications and progression between appointments.

Is parking available?

Paid metered parking is available on Driver Avenue. The Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park next to the gym usually provides two hours free on non-event days. Event-day arrangements may differ.

Can physiotherapy help after surgery?

Yes. Post-operative rehabilitation can include restoring movement and strength, rebuilding gym and running capacity, objective testing and a staged return to sport. Follow your surgeon’s specific restrictions and guidance.
